Is there THC or CBD in the products?

No, our products do not contain THC or CBD. We use hemp seed oil, which is rich in nutrients but free from cannabinoids, making it legal, non-psychoactive, and safe for all ages. Our skincare products will not get you high and are safe for all ages. Hemp seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant and contains no THC or CBD—only skin-loving fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants.

Are your products safe for all skin types?

Are your products vegan?

The Cold Process Bar Soap is vegan. The Lotion Bar is made with beeswax which is an animal by product. We do not test our products on animals. 

What is cold process soap, and what are its skincare benefits?

Cold process soap is made using traditional saponification, where natural oils and lye react to create soap and glycerin. This method preserves moisturizing properties, retains skin-benefiting ingredients, and avoids harsh detergents found in commercial soaps. It’s gentle, nourishing, and ideal for all skin types.

Why is lye used in soap making?

Lye (sodium hydroxide) is an essential ingredient in traditional soap making. It reacts with oils and butters in a process called saponification, transforming them into soap and glycerin. While raw lye is highly alkaline, no lye remains in the final product—only pure, gentle soap that cleanses and nourishes the skin.

How do you use a lotion bar?

Simply warm the bar between your hands or glide it directly onto dry skin. Your body heat will melt the nourishing oils and butters, allowing you to massage them in for deep hydration.

Why is a lotion bar better than cream lotion?

Lotion bars are water-free, meaning they don’t require preservatives and deliver pure, concentrated moisture. They’re eco-friendly, long-lasting, and perfect for on-the-go hydration without spills. 

What is the shelf life of your products?

• Cold Process Soap: Approx. 1 year, but lasts longer when stored in a dry, well-ventilated area.
• Lotion Bar: Approx. 6-12 months, depending on storage conditions. Keep it cool and dry to maintain texture and effectiveness.

When can I expect to receive my order?

Fulfillment and shipment of your order will take place within 3-5 business days of your order being placed. Shipping timeframes are dependent upon the method and timeframe selected at checkout and based on the courier. 

Do you ship outside of Canada?

Hemp + Heart Co. currently ships within Canada and looks forward to further to expansion in the future.
